I am a kid going through more than a kid should be going through. My best friend is dead. Now I am left here alone to try and figure out how in the hell I am going to make it through my last year in middle school without him! There's this girl. I liked her last year but we never got together. Seemed fate wouldn't have it, or Markus! An obnoxious bully who seemed to always be there to make me feel like a complete idiot, embarrass me, or just shove me into a locker. Some things never change even when your best friend is dead. Except that your best friend is no longer there to have your back when said bully decides to harrass you.

Suddenly Megan is always there, and as guilty as I feel being happy about anything, I can't help the way I feel when I am near her. The sweet vanilla in her hair, the way every bit of my body tingles when she brushes against me. Adam is dead you would think that the least I could be was miserable!

Besides, as far as I can tell, the only reason she's paying attention to me anyway is because she feels sorry for me! Poor kid with a dead best friend!

RIP~ Adam
